Hello my name is Claire.
I am This Girl Can Trek!
I am raising money for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth by attempting 6 arduous challenges in twelve months.
I would like to tell you about the 6 expeditions and a British Skydive record attempt I am doing over the course of the next year. The Skydive will be happening 20th July 2019. The BBC and possibly ITV will be covering it and I have been asked to go in on the following Monday for an interview in the studio. We also have newspaper coverage that will go throughout the region.
My expeditions are to Machu Picchu, April 2019 (completed), Mount Elbrus in Russia, which will be the most gruelling and coldest in August 2019. Everest Basecamp October, Kilimanjaro to summit NYE, then to cycle Vietnam to Cambodia in February 2020 and Finish in Malawi April 2020.
I started training to do this in September 2018 while juggling a job, 2 children, a voluntary job and training. My aim is to raise as much money as possible to provide vital funds for my local hospice, St Luke’s Plymouth. They looked after my uncle and he was able to die at home with his family around him. I also want to raise awareness of hospice care throughout the UK.
I am currently looking for corporate sponsors, where you will be part of the Skydive event and be included in all social media Facebook/Instagram/Twitter and on my website. My social media following is growing fast.
If your organisation is looking for exposure while supporting a great cause, please contact me for details and ways to become one of my official sponsors.
In addition, individual sponsors and donations are also very welcome and you can help by donating on my Just Giving page.
